After-School Program at Liberty
The Liberty Elementary School community is committed to all students becoming life-long learners through academic success and responsible citizenship. Beyond the Bell is a quality after-school program for our students, who are placed in groups according to grade level. Each team has an adult counselor. Our goal is to provide engaging and enriching opportunities in academics and recreation.
Eligibility
Beyond the Bell is open to all Liberty students age 5 and older. Fayette County Public Schools and Liberty Elementary do not discriminate in their educational programs or activities.
Activities
Students will engage in academics, art, technology, physical activity, and enrichment activities with their counselors. All students will also receive a snack. There may be times when we use rooms with a snake, bearded dragon, fish, hermit crabs, and turtles (science room). These are the same animals the students are exposed to during the school day.
Hours
Beyond the Bell (BTB) is open from 2:35 to 6 p.m. on each school day.
- If the district dismisses school early, Beyond the Bell will be open for one more hour. For example, if Liberty has a one-hour early dismissal with school out at 1:35 p.m., then BTB will be open until 2:35 p.m.
- In the event of inclement weather after 2:35 p.m., we may contact families via text or phone to pick up their students early. Please keep phone numbers up-to-date!
- If school is canceled, then BTB will be canceled.
