School Headlines

  • Kindergarten Kickoff 2019

    Kindergarten students are invited to "Kickoff" their first year of school a little early at this special event on Monday, August 5th.  Students will complete the Brigance assessment, meet our Kindergarten team, and enjoy a special popsicle treat with the principal as they learn about their new school.  Families should contact our registrar, Ms. Liz Jackson, when our offices reopen on July 29th to schedule a visit between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • The Promise Acaemy at Harrison Elementary Opens Fall 2019

    It's official!  The Promise Academy at Harrison Elementary will open this fall.  In addition to a rigorous core curriculum, students will be provided extended learning time and an expanded performing and visual arts program with daily enrichment opportunities.  The school year begins on Thursday, August 8, 2019 and ends on June 11, 2020.  The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Each Wednesday, school will be dismissed at the end of the regular school day at 2:35 p.m. 

    To emphasize our focus on high achievement and preparation for the future, students at the Promise Academy will wear a school uniform including short or long-sleeved polos and khaki pants, skirts, or knee length shorts. 

    Learn more about the Promise Academy and the exciting changes at Harrison Elementary at our upcoming family events including a special Family Information Night on July 16th at 6:00 p.m.,  the Back to School Rally at Coolavin Park on August 3rd at 10:00 a.m., or at Ready Fest Orientation Night on August 6th from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

  • Real Men Read
