Catherine Vannatter took the helm at Locust Trace effective July 1, 2021, with 15 years of experience in education, having served most recently as the administrative dean here since 2000. Her prior roles include curriculum and instructional coach at Bryan Station High School, and 10 years of classroom experience teaching English at Bryan Station High School, Frankfort High School, and Morehead State University. She also taught English and anthropology at Bluegrass Community & Technical College, and has seven years of work experience in the private sector as a technician with Cultural Resource Analysts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Transylvania University, a master’s degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, secondary English from Eastern Kentucky University, and is pursuing her doctoral degree in educational leadership at University of Kentucky.
