It has been a goal of mine to lead and support all members of a school towards academic success for all students.  I feel the success of any school requires all school staff and parents to work together, and I value the already strong union between these two that has been established at Ashland. As a parent myself, I strive to ensure my daughters understand the bond required between school and home to be successful.  With that being said, my door is always open to any member of the Ashland family. I am very eager to get to know each and every one of you!

I have taught in Missouri, Indiana, and now Kentucky.  I started my career in Columbia, Missouri, as a third grade teacher in a school similar in size to Ashland.  I then got married and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, and became a building instructional coach supporting all K-5 teachers.  I truly enjoyed coaching and supporting teachers and students. When the opportunity came to move to Lexington, I was privileged to continue to work as a curriculum coach at Yates Elementary.  In my tenure in FCPS, I have worked as a PGES coach at Cardinal Valley and most recently a district instructional specialist for Title I. Throughout my career, I have learned it takes a team of individuals working and communicating together to make an impact on future success. I am excited to embark on this next chapter at Ashland Elementary.

On a personal note, I have an amazing husband, Joe, and two incredible daughters, Ellee, and Caroline.  We also have a standard poodle named Lottie and two cats, Addison and Tigger.  In my spare time I love attending all of my daughters’ activities, watching sports, traveling the world, and needlepointing.
