Arlington Elementary continues its tradition of being a community school that strives to include staff, students, families and community members in its decision making. Our mission: Arlington exists to provide a positive, welcoming and safe environment for our school community to ensure our students reach their individual potential. We pride ourselves in building a true family community environment.

Every decision made is based on what is best for our students and data driven. We work hard each day reflecting on our practices to ensure that our students have continued learning at high levels. That reflection includes important key questions such as: 1. Where are our students in their learning? 2. What do we do when they don’t master the standards? 3. What do we do for those who have already mastered the standards? These questions help guide our daily instructional practices. Data is also shared during PLC teams, SBDM, and parent meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are involved in moving all students forward in their academic success.

There are many ways you can become a part of the Arlington family. You are always welcome to eat breakfast or lunch with your child. You can sign up through our FRC to become a volunteer. Be an active member of SBDM, or attend SBDM open meetings. Attending our family nights, provides information going on at the school and individual class level. You can always check with your teachers to see how to volunteer for your child's classroom. We are so thankful to have you as a partner! It is a great pleasure to serve your children each day.

Having two children myself who have gone through Fayette County Public School System, I know how important communication is to ensure the success of each child. Please be sure to sign up for parent/teacher conferences. Feel free to contact teachers through email and during planning times. You are always welcome to reach out to me through a visit, email, or phone call. Our job at Arlington, is to ensure that your child has the best learning experience possible.

Yours in service,

Kim Lippert, principal
