• The executive communications officer and district spokesperson for Fayette County Public Schools is a point of contact for matters related directly to the superintendent and the school board. Among her duties are working on a strategic public relations, communications, and marketing plan for them; coordinating with the superintendent on external-facing activities such as media briefings, community events, and speaking opportunities; and preparing key messages, talking points, speeches, scripts, and remarks for the superintendent.

The district spokesperson is also the main contact for the news media in crisis situations or when the topic directly involves the superintendent and districtwide issues.

Internally, the executive communications officer works with our Communications team to align the district's message to FCPS families and the public, and she oversees staff recognitions at school board meetings.
