Shawna Mitchell adores her ACE family! She is a member of the 4th grade team and has been teaching for 25+ years.  Mrs. S. Mitchell started her career at Clays Mill Elementary here in Lexington where she taught 4th grade for 8 years and was the Instructional Coach for 4. In 2010, she transferred to Clark County Public Schools and taught 5th grade and then most recently has been at Shearer Elementary for 5 years, where she was the 4th grade team leader and the Producer for Shearer Musical Theatre.

She lives on the Lexington side of Winchester where she has been married to the same Clark County boy for more than 20 years. As co-owners of the food business named Team Mitchell, her family helps others party plan delicious eating experiences.

She and her husband Scott have a 2 children; a daughter Lainie - who is a student at UK and Scotty, a teenager in the band and on the football team in Clark County. 

On top of that, Mrs. S. Mitchell is duo vocational where she is the Director of Children's Ministries at FCC Winchester, leading faith growing experiences for families and children.

Mrs. S. Mitchell spends her weekends reading, swinging in a hammock, sitting in the stands cheering at sporting events, making people smile and enjoying the outdoors.

Something fun to know about her - she drives a red stick shift Mustang, has a Bulldog  named Suzie and coaches the STLP and Academic Teams at ACE. She loves to laugh, dance, create and share with everyone she meets.
