Important NTI Information for Students
Learning Platform:
Homeland Security/Law Enforcement Students will be expected to utilize CANVAS, our learning managements system, for Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI).

You will use your FCPS log in credentials in order to access your CANVAS classes.
If a student does not have internet access, suitable work packets will be provided at the student's request.
Communication:
Captain Rudzinski will utilize many platforms for student communication during NTI.

- REMIND 101 (email me for the AM or PM class code).
- CANVAS -students may contact me directly through the LMS.
Office Hours/Availability:
My normal work hours will be 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Students and/or parents and guardians should make every effort to contact me during these hours.
I am available at other times upon request and availability.
Technology:
Students should have access to a computer and access to the internet in order to most effectively and efficiently complete required assignments.
Please contact Captain as soon as possible to address any technology issues and/or needs.
Attendance:
Students are expected to attend virtual classes as they would be expected to attend in-person classes.
Classes meet virtually three days each week unless otherwise informe by instructor.
On the days classes do not meet LIVE, there will be assignments in CANVAS for students to complete and counted as attendance as well.
Assignment/Work deadlines:
Coursework and assignments will be posted to Canvas by 8:00 AM on Mondays and will be due no later than the following Sunday at 7:00 PM.
Class Meetings:
Video class meetings will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Students are expected to attend and participate as a part of the grade.
Should a conflict arise the student must notify the instructor PRIOR to the scheduled meeting.
