NTI 2DL = Non-Traditional Instruction Differentiated Distance Learning
Greetings DSE Families!
I hope you’re as excited about the new school year as I am! While we’ve worked all summer to make adjustments based on COVID-19, our mission and promise to you and your child remains the same: We are the difference makers who will ensure that all students enter a positive and safe learning environment where they are loved and supported, all students are held accountable for their learning and behavior, and all students, families, and staff are respected through authentic positive relationships. For the time being, your child’s positive and safe learning environment will be virtual and our teachers couldn’t be more thrilled to accept this challenge! We have learned so much from our experience last spring and look forward to making NTI 2DL (Non-Traditional Instruction, Differentiated Distance Learning) at Deep Springs a great success! Below are important dates to mark on your calendar:
August 19: Homeroom Teachers will contact families.
August 19: Virtual Orientation Videos will be made available on our Facebook and School Webpage.
August 20: Virtual Q&A sessions will occur (K/1 6pm, 2/3 7pm, 4/5 8pm) via zoom. Link will be sent by homeroom teachers.
August 21: Drive Thru Pick Up of Materials at 12pm in our back car loop. Homeroom Teachers will communicate specific items to be picked up.
August 24: Neighborhood Parade 1pm
August 26: First Day of NTI 2DL
Here is the link to our NTI 2DL daily schedule. This is the schedule your child should follow while virtually learning from home. If you haven’t done so already, ‘like’ us on Facebook and please make sure we have your current cell phone number. Email Mrs. Hogg in the office email@example.com if you have any changes that need to be made to your family contact information. If you have chromebook issues, please email firstname.lastname@example.org If you have Wi-Fi issues at your house, please email email@example.com We have a new secretary joining Mrs. Hogg in the office this year! Please help us welcome Ms. Dana Taylor (firstname.lastname@example.org) If you’ve called school, you’ve probably already talked to her. Ms. Taylor comes from the office at Lafayette and we are lucky to have her and the expertise she brings!
