The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level. The AR Reward Program is called “The TALME $20 Challenge."
Part 1: The students with the highest points in primary (K-2) and intermediate (3-5) for the month will receive a fresh $5 bill.
Part 2: All students that meet their grade level goal will get 1 ticket put in to the drawing for a fresh $20 bill. Students can have additional tickets entered for doubling the average of their weekly goal. The winner will be announced monthly in Morning Assembly.
