    Lexington Legendary Book Bash - Embassy Suites by Hilton at Lexington Green 10 am - 4 pm.  Win prizes, play games, and meet amazing authors!  Join us for another exciting year as we celebrate great books and amazing products at the Lexington Legendary Book Bash.  Meet authors, discover wonderful new books, and shop from local vendors. This is an exciting and fun-filled day for the entire family.

    Lexington Comic Con - I good place to meet your favorite actors as well as authors and illustrators of grpahic novels (comic books).  

    FCPS Stem Fair - Come spend some time learning and playing with technology.  There will be a competition between schools for projects and individual work submitted.  STEM Fair will be at Bryan Station High School from 9 - 12.

  • 2019 Special Programs Information Night

    Save the Date for Special Programs - August 19th, 2019 5:30 - 7:30 pm at Douglass High School.  Over 30 specilized programs will be present to meet the needs of our students.  We invite parents and community to come out and take a sneak peek into our program offerings.

  • Register for BSMS Soccer

    Register for BSMS soccer was extended to March 18th on the YMCA website!!  Soccer Practice will be on Mondays from 5:15 to 6:15 at High Street/North YMCA,  239 E. High Street, Lexington Kentucky, 40507.  Practice starts the week of March 25.  Games start April 13. Parents must register on the YMCA site for students to participate.  Contact Mr. Miranda with questions.

  • Online Spring Scholastic Book Fair!

  • Voting for the Name of the New Walking Trail

    Please complete by Wednesday, March 20th!!!   Vote for the name of the walking trail.  Council-member,  CM Evans, has given our school the opportunity to name the upcoming Bryan Station Neighborhood Walking Trail.  The trail will be installed this summer throughout the Bryan Station neighborhood to help residents see the best walking/bike routes along with mileage.  This is a great way to get our neighborhood out and getting physical activity.  This project will be implemented by Lexington’s Parks & Recreation Department.

  • Let's Get Moving

    The PTSA is having a health fair Friday, March 22 from 5:00-7:00 pm. This is a free event and we would love to see everyone there. It's open to students, staff and family members.  "Let's Get Moving" is all about different ways of keeping healthy.  There will be special visitors including Tara Hernandez from Ignite Dance Fitness, Nancy Hiner from Lexington Health Department, & Melanie Hunter from Markey Cancer Center!  There will also be surprise guests as well!  Come out and have some fun as a family!!!!

  • Rescheduled SIP Incoming 6th Grade Preview Night 

    Thursday (March 28, 2019) the Bryan Station Middle School Immersion Program will be having a Preview Night for rising 6th grade students and families.  This will be a conference-style presentation with five separate sessions/classes for families and students: Spanish Literacy and Literature, Introduction to Language Proficiency, How to use Canvas and Infinite Campus, BSMS Immersion Culture Club, Resources for Supporting Language Growth

  • BSHS Open House for 8th Graders

    8th Grade Open House that will take place on March 27th at 6pm. This event is designed to give our feeder middle school students and families the opportunity to learn a little more about BSHS and how they can start to get connected. As part of this event, we will provide information on our academies, clubs, sports offerings, and special programs.  We will also give families information on the support services offered here at Bryan Station High School, such as our CARE center, Youth Service Center, and Ridge program.

    Presale for 2018-2019 Bryan Station Middle yearbooks has begun. The presale yearbook price is $15.00 and will last until 4/12/19. After 4/12/19 yearbooks will be available for sale when they arrive in May for $20.00. Presale orders can be made at the following link.

  • YSC Basketball Camp

    This summer BSMS will host a basketball camp in our gym June 17th - 20th from 9 am - noon for 1st - 6th graders.  This is a free camp.  Campers will get a t-shirt.  Guest Speakers will attend.  Students will learn basketball skills and have fun playing 3 on 3 games and working on individual skills.  Please send applications and questions to Mike Allen.

  • Congratulations Archery Team!

    The archery team took 4th place in the District Archery Tournament!  Congratulations to Mason Decker & Ella Morgan who qualified for a spot at the State Archery Tournament!!!

  • KY World Language Association Showcase

    Congratulations to Neilsen Park for achieving the 2nd Place in the category “Frameable Art” in the Kentucky World Language Association Showcase!  Congratulations to Max Majors, Ella Ray, Eden Johnson, Emily Lowe, Ada Burris, David Marin, Ben Dominguez, Natalia Guajardo, and Andrew Peng for participating too. They did great and represented BSMS well.  Way to go Bearcats!!!!

  • Sarah Payne  Orchestra leader selected as Outstanding Director

    Sarah Payne, who guides the orchestras at Bryan Station Middle School, has received the 2019 Outstanding Director award (for grades K-12) from the Kentucky Chapter of the American String Teachers Association. “I believe that every child has the potential to become a great musician, and I try very hard to ensure that every student receives the opportunities they need to grow their potential,” said Payne, who also teaches strings at Deep Springs Elementary.   • Spelling Bee 

    Congratulations to Zachariah Oliver!!  He did an outstanding job representing BSMS at the Scripps Howard spelling bee.  He finished in the top four!  He had some tough competition and lasted 8 rounds!

  • Beta Club

    BSMS has started a Junior Beta Club!  This is an honors club that focusses on leadership and service to others. The BETA Club will meet on Thursdays at 4:00 in the library. The membership is by invitation only to students who have had all a’s and B’s  all year long. We had 182 students invited to join.  We look forward to having lots of fun while learning and growing our leadership skills and fine tuning our abilities in all areas. Congratulations to those invited! It is indeed an honor! Thank you to Mrs. Swartz and Mrs. Santiago for becoming sponsors of this program!  Beta Club meets on Thursdays after school.

  • District Science Fair Winners

    All winning students are invited to be honored at the LFUCG meeting by Mayor Linda Gorton, Vice Mayor Steve Kay, and the LFUCG Council on Thursday, February 21st, 2019. 

    All winning students have earned the privilege of advancing to the 16th Annual Central Kentucky Regional Science and Engineering Fair (CKRSEF), a part of the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) system, the largest pre-college science competition in the world.  The CKRSEF will be held March 2, 2019 at Paul L. Dunbar High School in Lexington.

  • Congratulations BSMS Academic Team!!

    BSMS Academic Team placed 2nd in the district this year!!  The team will compete at the regional competition.  We are very proud of our coaches and students!  A huge shout out to these students:  Zach Oliver who placed in the district in in Math & Arts & Humanities; Landon Hodge placed in Science & Social Studies; Emerson Farrar placed in Arts & Humanities.  Great Job Bearcats!!!

    Individual teachers hold thier own tutoring hours.  ESS Services are also available.
