Senior Trip

  • In 1997 a new tradition was established at "The Creek," a senior trip to New York City. Twenty-four classes later, the tradition continues. This trip was established to provide every graduating senior with the opportunity to experience an educational, enjoyable, exciting, and memorable culminating activity to their high school years. Through hard work, partial scholarships, and numerous fund-raising opportunities, this trip is open to all graduating seniors who meet eligibility requirements.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To be eligible for the Class of 2020 Senior Trip to New York City students must be slated to graduate in May 2020.

    Final eligibility will be checked at the end of first semester. To be eligible students must meet the same criteria as established for athletic/extra-curricular activities.  Attendance 2nd semester is extremely important.  If you have excessive unexcused absences, you will be removed from the Senior Trip list and forfeit all money paid.

    A reminder: If a student is found in violation of the Fayette County Public School's Student Code of Conduct and/or the Tates Creek High School Overnight Field Trip Policy, a student is deemed ineligible and cancellation fees are imposed.

    If a student is declared academically ineligible, no payments will be refunded.

    The Tates Creek High School Senior Trip is an optional senior event.

    No student is required to attend this voluntary trip.
