    Lego Robotics
The Glendover Robotics Club begins each year in September, learning the basics of programming the Lego’s NXT Mindstorms. Once the RCX materials arrive, members are divided into two teams, and they get to working on their chosen missions. In late January, students combine their completed missions and practice their three-minute rounds. By March, they are ready to fine-tune their three-minute rounds like a dress rehearsal. Then it is competition time!
Along the way, students are faced with numerous challenges that require problem-solving skills, whether it be programming, building attachments to their robots, reducing time, planning, or cooperative teamwork. It can get stressful at times, but each member ends the year knowing that they had fun and have gained experiences that will benefit them in their future.
