  • Spartan Dance Team Spring Dance Camp


    The Spartan Dance Team is hosting a Spring Dance Camp on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. This event is open to students in grades 1st– 8th. The cost is $20/dancer. Participants will receive a t-shirt and the opportunity to dance at the Boys Basketball Game vs Morton Middle School on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Participants must have a completed permission waiver form. Please contact Coach CynQuesha Jarrell for more information.

  • A Day With Spartan Cheerleaders

    A Day with the Spartan Cheerleaders will be held on Saturday Jan. 19th from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM. The cost is $25. Students must have registration/waiver form and payment must be received no later than Jan. 2, 2019. Child must be between the ages of 5-13 years old to participate.  Participants will receive an SMS cheer shirt and will be able to perform with the Cheerleaders at halftime during the 7th grade boys’ basketball game on Jan. 22nd (child will get free admission to the game that night).   • Science Fair Help Needed

    The SMS Science fair will be Monday, January 14, 2019 and we need your help! If you are able to help judge projects, bring lunch/snacks for judges, or help with set up/clean up during the day please sign up using the following google form!

  • Tates Creek High School 8th Grade Parent Information Meeting

    The Tates Creek High School Freshman Academy Counselors and Principal invite you, as the parent of an incoming 9thgrade student, to a parent orientation and scheduling information meeting on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:30 PM at Tates Creek High School Fuller Theater.

     The Freshmen Academy Counselors and Principal will be meeting to discuss topics such as the transition from middle school to high school, what a block schedule is, 9thgrade course offerings, and an introduction to the Freshman Academy model. We share your desire to remove as much anxiety as possible about this transition and encourage you to join us for this meeting.

     Prior to this meeting, the Tates Creek Freshman Academy counselors will have already been in the middle schools to talk with the 8thgraders themselves, so they do not need to attend this meeting.   Your student should bring home several pieces of literature and a green schedule sheet for you to review and sign.
