  • High School Information Meeting

On Thursday, May 2, 2019 Southern Middle School will be hosting an information night for families to learn more about the Academies of Tates Creek High School, as well as many of the alternate, technical, and specialized high school programs available throughout the district. The event will be held from 5:30 PM to 7:00PM in the SMS cafeteria and is an open house event, so families are encouraged to stop in at anytime during this timeframe to learn more about each program.

The purpose of this event is to allow 6th and 7th grade students and their families to gain information that will aid in planning for their futures, as the application deadlines for many of these programs occur during the first half of a student's 8th grade year. Though application deadlines for next year have passed, 8th graders and their families are also encouraged to attend to learn more about the Academies of Tates Creek High School and the International Baccalaureate Program.

Any student who attends will receive a dress down pass and will have opportunity to enter a raffle for a free t-shirt from the Southern Middle School store. Any student interested in attending must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the event.
