  • Volunteers needed:  Career Day is coming...

Southern Elementary is hosting our annual Career Day for our K-5th students on Friday, March 22nd 8-11a.m. I am reaching out to Southern Elementary families in hopes some of you may be interested in attending to present to our students.

We are looking for presenters from all career areas. We would love to have you. Please let me know if you are interested or by chance know of someone that is.  We provide a table and chair for each presenter, if you would need anything else just let me know. Our doors open at 7:15a.m. so you can come early to set up. Our event starts right at 8a.m. and very little time in between rotations. We usually end promptly at 11:00a.m.  We split presenters into two groups, one group is in the gym with for 3rd-5th grades and the others are in complex areas for K-2nd grades. You would just let me know which group you prefer to be with.

Presenters for 3rd-5th have one entire grade level for one hour but those students are broken into groups of 5-8 students and rotate to each table about every 10 minutes so you present the same information throughout the day.

K-2nd presenters get one entire class at a time for about 10 minutes per class and present the same information throughout the day. I hope you consider attending and please let me know if you have any questions.  Use the link below to contact Ms. Perkins if you would like to volunteer.
