  • Chromebook Nights

    As you know the district is going 1:1 with Chromebooks in the middle schools.  Students will be bringing home a backpack letter containing the district User Agreement and Pledge.  We hope you will be able to join us next week for a presentation, collection of forms, and Chromebook distribution.        

    6th grade --  Tuesday, September 24th from 5:30 pm  - 7:00 pm

    7th & 8th grade -- Wednesday, September 25th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm

  • BSMS Soccer Team

    Congratulations to our soccer team!!!  They won their first game against Hayes Middle with a score of 8-2.  Go Bearcats!!!!!

  • Kids Helping Kids Peer Tutoring

    Kids Helping Kids is a peer tutoring program to help all students reach their potential. Kids Helping Kids is after school from 4:00 - 5:00 pm Monday - Thursday in Mrs. Santiago's classroom.  Mrs. Swartz and Mrs. Santiago are the sponsors and lead the tutoring efforts with Beta Club students.  Students must have a ride home at 5:00.  Students are welcome to come all 4 days each week or only the days they need help.

    You are invited to Family Math Night on September 26, 2019 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in the cafeteria.  We will have math games created by students for the whole family to play.

  • Cross Country Update

    Good morning Bearcat fans - The boys and girls cross country team ran on Saturday at the Double "S" Invite in Georgetown.  Leading the way for the girls team was Edith Ingram and Caroline Wren who finished 15th and 17th out of 83 runners!  The team finished 4th.  On the boys side the team was led by Max Majors and Tyler Bobadilla who finished 42nd and 49th respectively out of a field of 156 runners!  The boys team finished in 12th.  Also running for the bearcats on Saturday - Riley Morris, Kori Mayberry, Cara Findley, Anabel Keefe, Connor McNamara, Hart Pettit and Cameron Coots.
     
    We have this weekend off and are back in action next Saturday in Clrk County at the GRC Classic!  Girls run at 9:45 and boys follow at 10:30 - Come out and support our Bearcats!
     
    There will be no cross country practice today - practice will resume Wednesday 9/18.

  • Congratulations Sr. Castillo!!!

    Sr. Castillo

    Sr. Francisco Castillo has been named the Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Kentucky Outstanding Teacher of the Year.  Sr. Castillo will go on to compete for the Kentucky World Language Association (KWLA) Teacher of the Year in September.  The KWLA Teacher of the Year competes at the regional conference with the hoping of competing for the national American Council on the Teaching of World Languages (ACTFL) Teacher of the Year.

    Box Tops for Education - Our school is collecting “Box Tops for Education” as a fundraiser.  Box Tops can be found on General Mills products, including Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Green Giant, Yoplait, Progresso, Old El Paso, Pop Secret, Ziploc, Nature Valley, and many others. Box Tops can be sent to the library or placed in Mrs. Brewer's mailbox throughout the year.  Help our school earn more money with the Box Top app.  Box Top App Instructions
