  • VolunTeens – Let’s Get Started!

    VolunTeens

Summer is always a great time! And, summer is an exciting time around the hospital because of teen volunteers, ages 14 - 18. At Baptist Health we call them VolunTeens. One of several purposes of the Baptist Health Lexington’s VolunTeen Program is to provide career development opportunities for members of the community interested in becoming a registered nurse or another member of the healthcare team.

Step 1: Visit www.bhlexvolunteers.com to apply. Applications open Monday, February 11th, 2019. Applications are received until April 14th, or until capacity is reached.

Step 2: Set up an interview date/time for April 2, April 3, April 4, or April 27 by calling (859) 260-2500. Calls to set up interviews are only accepted on Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm only.

Step 3: Attend Interview – even returning VolunTeens.

Step 4: Attend Mandatory Orientation on either June 5th OR June 27th. If you are unable to complete orientation prior to start date, please do NOT apply.

You will need to bring three items with you to your interview:

    1. The VolunTeen Forms located at www.bhlexvolunteers.com , must be completed and signed by a parent.
    2. Documentation of MMR.
    3. A copy of your TB skin test administered in 2019.

Remember, before anyone can begin volunteering, each VolunTeen must attend the orientation - even returning VolunTeens.

    Below are the session dates:
    Session One - June 10th – June 28th, 2019
    Session Two - July 8th – July 26th, 2019
