Mrs. Jasmine Jones

Jasmine Jones is originally from Dayton, Ohio.  While growing up, she knew she had a  love for working with children.  She was able to watch her mother teach middle school, which helped develop her passion.  Jasmine received her B.A. in Child Development and Family Relations from Kentucky State University in 2003.  She earned her M.A. in Special Education from Georgetown College in 2012. She also earned her Gifted and Talented Endorsement from there as well.

Jasmine is married to a fantastic Chef, named Cecil, and they have 2 boys together. Jayden is 16 and Cameron is 8.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, listening to music, crafting, providing community service with her sorority and traveling. It is her goal to visit all 50 states. Her family's favorite state so far is Pennsylvania, where they ate many cheese steaks in Philadelphia and had a blast at Hershey Park and Sesame Place.

This is Jasmine's 4th year as a SCAPA Penguin and her 11th year as a Special Education teacher with Fayette County Public Schools. Jasmine feels very blessed to be a part of the SCAPA family and has joined the School Safety and Security Committee and PBIS Committee.
