  • Please welcome our second Guidance Counselor!

As part of the Superintendent's Safety Initiative, Rosa Parks has been staffed with an additional Guidance Counselor (Mrs. Gordon isn't going anywhere!)  Please welcome Ms. Katie Havelda!

Katie Havelda is excited to join the staff of Rosa Parks Elementary this semester as a school counselor. During her career, she has taught first and second grade, worked as an instructional coach, a Child Guidance Specialist, and a school social worker. Ms. Havelda is looking forward to getting to know the children and families at RPE as she provides support to children through small group and individual counseling. A graduate of Transylvania University and the University of Kentucky, Ms. Havelda has called Lexington home for the last 20 years. She has three children and enjoys hiking and cooking with her children.
