  • Congratulations to our Mustangs: A-Team city champions & Superintendent's GPA Award winners!

    A-Team Champs

    The boys “A” basketball team from Morton capped the season with a hard-fought 47-39 victory over Southern Middle for the 2019 city championship. Morton also secured the award for highest GPA. The March 7 tournament finals saw several lead changes, and the score was tied late into the fourth quarter before Morton rallied behind Anderson Jones, who finished with 11 points. Coach Jeremy Jones also commended Konlin Brown for huge defensive plays down the stretch and Todd Dumphord for crucial assists and free throws. Mason Hawkins led the Mustangs with 21 points while Will Kessinger and Nathan Sloan hit the boards effectively. | Tournament brackets

    • The STOP Tip Line is a way for families and students to report any unsafe behavior anonymously to school administrators.  Just look for the stop sign icon on Morton’s home page and be sure to complete all fields. Your message will be delivered to Morton staff.

    • Please remember that our bus lane out front is a "no parking zone".  If you are visiting Morton and come in the building, please use designated parking lot on the side of the school.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

  • MMS BETA Club Information!

    Students who have earned a 3.5 GPA throughout the 2018-2019 school year have been invited to join Beta Club! Invitations for new members have been mailed out! New members and existing members are required to obtain 6 hours of community service. Community service forms are posted here and can be found in Mrs. W Dixon’s Room 208. Membership dues for new members must be turned in by April 12th, along with the completed registration form and community service form. Date for the Beta Club New Induction Member Ceremony will be announced in the Spring!

  • Samuel Couch Fayette County's Unity Essay Contest Winner:

    Congratulations to Morton Middle Champion's Team student, Samuel Couch, for winning the Fayette County Unity Essay contest! Samuel will receive $500 and read his essay at the Martin Luther King breakfast in January!

  • 16th District PTA Reflections Award of Merit!


    Ethan Goecke won the 16th District PTA Reflections Award of Merit for his art piece titled “A Tribute to Fish.” This years theme was “Heroes Around Me.”  “My drawing relates to the theme of, “Hero” because I have always loved paintings of fish and animals. Guy Harvey though paints pictures of fish everywhere! My drawing includes a quotes from Guy Harvey and many fish related things.”-Ethan Goecke
