  • Embassy of Spain in D.C. names Maxwell Its School of the Year

    School of the Year

Maxwell Spanish Immersion Magnet Elementary has been named the 2018-19 School of the Year by the Embassy of Spain’s Education Office in Washington, D.C. This award goes to schools in the United States that demonstrate excellence in content and language integrated learning programs in English and Spanish. Maxwell, which was Kentucky’s first whole-school immersion program, has a nearly 30-year record of providing quality education that is both innovative and effective in fostering Spanish language proficiency, academic achievement, and global competence. Former students also attest to how Maxwell influenced their choice of career and how they use intercultural competency as a base for their work and life.

  • Come Support the 5th Grade!

The 5th grade students of Maxwell are sponsoring family nights on two different evenings to help raise funds for our field trip to the Underground Railroad Museum and Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. Please help support us by visiting Tolly-Ho on 3/19 and Baskin Robbins (in Lansdowne Shoppes) on 3/26. The restaurants have agreed to give us a portion of the profits to help raise funds. See you there!
