    Good luck to the wrestling team today as they represent Lafayette to bring home some of the gold. Come also and support them at the “Alltech Arena “, Horse park, today and Saturday. Good luck wrestlers!

    Lafayette Wrestlers Luke Chapman-Brayden Giononne and Azariah Saunier are the Scholar Athletes of the week on the Scholastic Ball Report Sunday at Noon on CWKYT. Coach William Greene is also on the show for being voted Coach of the Year by the Coaches Association! Watch this Sunday at Noon on CW. 

    The film-making club will be canceled today.

    Varsity Tennis tryouts are February 17th at 4pm. You must have a physical on file or bring one with you to the tryout. Talk to coach Griffith in room 107A if you have questions!

    BETA Club will have a mandatory meeting next Wednesday February 19th. Please check the Remind for details or see Ms. Detraz in room 243 for how to join.

    Battle of the Bands is scheduled for April 17th and we are still looking for performers! Please see Ms. Detraz in room 243 if you are at all interested.

    Do you have an old prom or formal dress, shoes, or accessories you aren't using any more? Donate it to AOK Club's annual Prom Dress Drive! For every item donated you will be entered in a drawing to win a free portrait session from Katelyn V. photography! Afraid it might be old or out-of-style? We still want your donations! You can bring your donations to rooms 102 and 103 - Mrs. McClanahan and Mrs. Bugg. This year we're teaming up with Hot 102.5 to help students in need get gently used items for prom. We'll gladly take your items through Friday, March 6th! Questions? See Mrs. Baker in Rm 133.

    If you are looking for a summer job, stop by the YSC (room 116) to get information about the Summer Youth Job Training Program. This program places high school students with Lexington businesses, government agencies, and community organizations for six weeks of part time employment during the summer. Household income and economic opportunity are priority factors in selecting LHS students. Requirements necessary prior to Ms. Chastain distributing applications is a copy of your birth certificate, copy of your photo id, and copy of your social security card. There are 45 positions available for LHS students. Deadlines for completed applications to the YSC is WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26 at 3:30 p.m.

    All 10th and 11th graders will take the ACT at Lafayette the morning of March 10, 2020. There will be no charge for this state mandated assessment

    Attention all flappers and bootleggers: Lafayette is officially throwing it back one century at prom! It will be the roaring 20’s once again, May 9th at the Carrick house! More details will be released shortly and don’t forget to follow their Instagram @lafayettejuniorclass21 for updates on prom status!

    The Third Annual Junior Achievement Miss Business educational workshop is a unique opportunity designed to help young women develop a successful business and professional career. The workshop is free to accepted applicants.
