Staff Spotlight: Linda Reesor
Family Resource Center coordinator, Liberty Elementary

I often tell friends that I have the greatest job in the world because there is no better job than helping others! In a Family Resource Center, our continuing mission is to help every student reach his or her greatest potential by removing barriers to learning.
Our outreach program encompasses many areas. We help families with basic needs including assistance and referrals for food, clothing, rent and utilities along with medical, dental and vision-care assistance. We also collaborate with school and community partners to meet the needs of our school community in a variety of ways. The FRC offers workshops on childhood development, family literacy, math, health and wellness. We also help with mentoring programs, bully-free lessons and a lending library.
We encourage and motivate students to do their best in school and in life. Liberty's Family Resource Center connects families in ways that strengthen the growth and development of the family unit. It’s a challenging, fun and rewarding career that I truly enjoy.
