Staff Spotlight: Callie Manor
Music teacher, Breckinridge Elementary

My education philosophy is built around the idea that all students can succeed musically, whether in the classroom or through performance outside the classroom. When I plan my lessons, I strive to make sure of two things: First, I want to see smiles as I look around the room, and second, I inspire my students to engage in critical thinking.
My students remain engaged through my humor, my experiences with music and my constant positive reinforcement during activities. I enjoy seeing students come to life when they realize they can be successful in any of their musical endeavors. They know that everyone has their own part and place, and I do my best to help them find their way.
While every teacher has good days and not-as-good days, I can honestly say that I love working with my students every day.
"Whenever and wherever humans have existed, music has existed also." -- Bennett Reimer
