School operations manager, James Lane Allen Elementary

My goal is to give the principal more time to serve as an instructional leader. In this role, I manage daily operations in such areas as transportation, maintenance, school finance, student registration, attendance, cafeteria and special events. I also help the principal prepare and implement the school safety plan, and we coordinate to maintain a positive, safe learning environment by enforcing the school discipline plan.

I joined Fayette County schools seven years ago after a 30-year career in the banking industry. I love the opportunity to apply my finance and management background in a job where I have the privilege of working with students.

It's my sincere hope that my efforts support the principal's and teachers’ focus on instruction. At the end of each day, I want to have made a difference for students, families and staff, and I want to see that my efforts have a positive impact on overall student achievement.
