Cafeteria manager, Cardinal Valley Elementary

In 2010, I became cafeteria manager at Cardinal Valley and soon realized how rewarding and challenging this job can be.

We strive every day to feed the students a hot and nutritious meal and make it educational and fun for them.  When they come through and say thank you or just smile, you know you have done your job.

We follow guidelines in preparing our meals to make it as nutritious as we can for them so that they can learn the importance of eating healthy.

From the first student who comes through the line to the last child of the day, our goal is to make sure each child is fed and has fun. They will remember their lunch times as they get older, and we want them to remember that we took care of them and look forward to seeing them every day.
