Interventionist at Deep Springs Elementary

"My job is working with fourth-graders whose MAP scores fall below 'proficiency' levels. By working in small groups and focusing on identified skill deficits, I implement a corrective program that meets each student's needs. As the students move through the RTI program, I monitor their progress and readjust instruction to remediate those deficits. I enjoy seeing the students' excitement as their achievement levels go up and they really 'get it.' 

"I am truly thankful for my job and the opportunity to affect my students' lives and learning. I feel I contribute to the mission of FCPS by helping every child learn and succeed at higher levels."
