Staff Spotlight: Alvin Wells
Henry Clay High School; night custodian supervisor

"My job as evening-shift supervisor is to make sure that each custodian's assigned area is clean and ready for the school day. With all of the activity that goes on during the day in our building, getting it ready for the next school day can be challenging.
"In addition to our regular cleaning duties, we have to make preparations for and clean up after activities that are scheduled during the evening hours, such as sporting events, dramas and concerts. It is important that our building be in good condition when visitors come and go. I believe this represents Fayette County Public Schools' commitment to providing an atmosphere where students can learn effectively while they and others enjoy the social experience that extracurricular activities can provide.
"Doing all that we do as the custodial staff plays a major role in helping others to do their job more effectively. Being commited to provide a clean and healthy facility creates an atmosphere for teachers to teach and students to learn."
