Staff Spotlight: Amber Clary

K-2 resource teacher, Garden Springs Elementary

"I feel blessed to work in a school environment that truly believes each child can learn. I try to make sure each child who comes into my classroom feels that he is a part of our school family. However, it is better if he does not feel like the center of attention just because he has a special need or disability. All children need proper attention to help them when dealing with their environment.

"My main objective is to be the teacher who lights a fire within each child to hopefully give them the desire to learn each and every day. I want all of my students to be successful across all curriculum settings and to fit in with their peers and not made to feel different. As as teacher, I know what methods of instruction work best for my students. The best feeling a teacher can have is to see it in the student’s eyes when they 'get it.'"
