"As a teacher of health and physical education, one of my major goals is to facilitate my students’ acquisition of current/accurate health-related information within a classroom environment of mutual trust and honesty. The students take an active role in finding and contributing relevant health information and strategies for leading a healthier life. An important focus of the class is the student development of life plans which incorporates informed, realistic, and healthy decisions that affect the students now and provide them healthy models for guidance and reference in the future. The miracle of the human body leaves me in awe, and I hope that I pass on this wonder and respect to my students."
