Winburn Middle School is home to a uniquely diverse population of students. Our student body truly reflects our global society with a wide variety of cultures. As home to one of Fayette County’s gifted and talented programs, we are honored that students choose to come to Winburn from around the county. Our Warrior Code or commitment to one another assists us in achieving our mission of respecting, protecting, and providing a college- and career-ready education for our students each day.

What makes our school special

Our school was built in 1970 on land in northern Fayette County formerly owned by historian Winston Coleman and his wife, Burnetta. "Winburn" is taken from their first names. Our students take pride in making a difference in our global society while staying connected to our school. Students who walk the halls of Winburn learn that with effort, anything is possible. It is that growth mindset that has our students representing our school all around the globe. "Once a Warrior, always a Warrior!"
