Mary Todd Elementary offers a diverse academic curriculum including a 1:1 technology device-to-student ratio. We offer project-based learning, which provides authentic learning experiences that integrate reading, math, writing, science, and social studies. We also house a Healthy Kids Clinic, which provides many services for students during the school day.

Our school was built in 1958 in the former Joyland Amusement Park area. It was named for Abraham Lincoln's wife, who was born and raised in Lexington. An addition to the school was built in 1960, and the latest renovation was completed in late 2012.

What makes our school special

We strive to provide a welcoming environment for our families and students. Special programs include the academic team, Student Technology Leadership Program, art club, Adopt An Art, daily Bulldog News reports, Lego robotics, and Girls on the Run.
