Lansdowne was built in 1966 and renovated in 2000. Our population includes students from more than 30 countries speaking more than 25 languages. In spite of the changing demographics through the years, we have a strong history of academic success and progress because we emphasize the achievement of all students.

We also offer an amazing after-school program with many community partners, and we have a highly inventive STEAM program that focuses on engineering at all grade levels.

Our staff ensures that all students are cared for, valued, and held to high behavioral standards to create a safe learning environment. This is a school where all students can feel successful and become prepared for the 21st century.

What makes our school special

With a major donation from the Kloiber Foundation, Lansdowne increased the technology available to our students. We are also one of the first schools using "If I Had a Hammer Math" for integrated math instruction focused on hands-on learning of fractions. In addition, a Whole Foods grant will enable us to introduce students to growing produce for consumption, and we hope to incorporate the cultivation of herbs from around the world -- highlighting our students' native countries and cuisines.
