Migrant Education is a program of Student Support Services Michelle Beverly, Associate Director of Student Support Services and Coordinator of Migrant Education Wanda Snowden, Teacher Advocate Jackie Windross-Wilson, Teacher Advocate Migrant Recruiter, (859) 381-4810 Migrant Education ProgramThe Migrant Education Program of Fayette County Public Schools is funded through Part C of Title I and offers services to families and out of school youth who have relocated to Fayette County within the last three years. Eligibility for services is based on those school age children and their families who have relocated to Fayette County because they are seeking agricultural employment on a temporary or seasonal basis. The Migrant Education Program includes help with school registration, school supplies, clothing, food, and medical referrals. At the time of enrollment in the program, each family is given a referral packet that contains information on the Hispanic Association, Saint Joseph Baby Health/ Mobile Clinics, ESL classes, U.K. Migrant Health Program, Family Resource Centers, and any information on upcoming events of interest. After initial enrollment in school, the Migrant Education Program continues to serve as a liaison between the family and school, providing assistance on an as needed basis.
