Data, Research, and Evaluation

The Office of Data, Research, and Evaluation (DRE) is part of the Department of Student Achievement and is under the supervision of Mr. Jack Hayes. Its staff is responsible for a variety of data analysis at the district and school levels, approval of research in the schools, evaluation of district programs, and Grantwriting.

Some specific activities performed by DRE include:

• Compiling test scores & reporting results
• Disaggregation and advanced analyses of student achievement data
• Designing & analysis of surveys
• Data collection and analyses of Program Initiatives
• Assembling reports on elementary, middle, and high Schools
• Researching and application for federal, state and local grant monies
• Data support/uploads for school-based testing programs
• Providing technical assistance with both grant writing and statistical analysis
