Congratulations to the Skomajoma Team at SCAPA at Bluegrass, a group of eighth-graders competing in the Lexus Environmental Challenge. They won a $3,000 prize and qualified for the next round of the contest. Read more
Students fare well at UK competition
FCPS students competed well in the Central Kentucky Regional Science and Engineering Fair, which was March 1 at the University of Kentucky. Read more

MATHCOUNTS adds up to scholarships
Yuki Inoue of Beaumont Middle School came in second, and Sadik Shahidain of Lexington Traditional Magnet School was third in the state MATHCOUNTS competition in Louisville. The top four finishers each won a full-tuition, four-year college scholarship to either the University of Kentucky or the University of Louisville. Read more
