Three-year-old Dani Pruitt, who has a genetic neurological condition, stays connected to her classmates at Rosa Parks Elementary through Web cameras. Her mother, Beth, sets up a laptop in the family’s living room, where they mimic the movements and sing along with the other children during circle time in Dani’s Early Start class. Read more about Dani.
Dani Pruitt’s 3- and 4-year-old classmates at Rosa Parks Elementary can see and hear her at home through a Web camera and headset microphone. Early Start teaching assistants Jennifer Hurst and Susan Hester interact with Dani just as if she were physically present in the circle of children. View a slideshow of more pictures.

Wow, PT is hard work. … I get tired, and my legs get really sore. I told Dad we needed to just stop and rest. Dad said that hard work pays off, and it important to remember this. He said that the harder I we worked, the sooner I would be better. Whew. … I know he is right, but I sure want to take a nap.
Sometimes I work even harder when I can get treats. Dad said that is part of hard work -- receiving the rewards! He said it is like what happens in the classrooms: When our kids work really hard, they receive the rewards of high achievement. I just want a big bowl of kibbles for my reward!
Dad took me outside for a little PT and took a video of me showing how hard work pays off. You can check it out here.
Thanks to all of my friends out there who have been sending get-well cards and good wishes!
Bow wow…
