Dunbar, Tates Creek successful in FBLA Region 4

FBLA members represented Fayette County Public Schools well at the annual Future Business Leaders of America’s Region 4 conference, hosted by Northern Kentucky University. The following students earned competitive honors on March 8:

Paul Laurence Dunbar High School

  • Business Ethics: William Ding, first place;
  • Business Law: Kelly Chen, first;
  • Cyber Security: Max Qiu, second;
  • Economics: Helen Pang, second;
  • Entrepreneurship: Amy Wang and Emily Liu, first;
  • FBLA Principles and Procedures: Eleanor Liu, first;
  • Global Business: Saif Ashfaq and Lalith Manukonda, third;
  • Health Care Administration: Saif Ahmed, first;
  • Insurance and Risk Management: Rohith Keseraju, second;
  • Introduction to Business Presentation: Angie Xiao and Sydney Sun, first;
  • Journalism: Julia Radhakrishnan, first;
  • Management Decision Making: Arya Shoa and Michael Waggoner, first;
  • Marketing: Ben Xie and Yoon Cho, third;
  • PSA: Rohan Palla and Sukruthi Yerramreddy, first;
  • Public Speaking II: Sahar Zadeh, first;
  • Security and Investments: Hemanth Sonenam, third;
  • Sports and Entertainment Management: Kevin Jing and Rehan Ghanta, second.

Tates Creek High School

  • Accounting I: Andrew Gazzaroli, second place;
  • Introduction to Business: Sophia Childers, third;
  • Help Desk: Narayan Upreti, second;
  • Largest Chapter Membership, third.

Future Business Leaders of America develops leadership, communication and team skills, and enables members to network at the local, state and national level. The 2017 state conference is set for April 17-19 at the Galt House in Louisville, and the national conference is June 29 through July 2 in Anaheim, Calif.
