The Kentucky Department of Education has released 2011-2012 income and household size criteria for school meals program eligibility.

Each year, the federal government revises guidelines for school districts to follow when implementing free and reduced-price meal programs. Children from households whose income is at or below specific levels are eligible.

Fayette County Public Schools, which participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs, sends application forms to all homes with a letter to parents or guardians.
