Nine Fayette County schools will send at least one project on to state competition this spring after their teams’ strong performance in the STLP Fall Showcase, held Nov. 10 at the University of Kentucky’s Student Center.
The Student Technology Leadership Program this year offers three categories for projects: Community Service, Technical Expertise and Instructional. Fayette County Public Schools submitted 20 showcases for consideration, and judges evaluated their props, collaboration, research and creativity, among other criteria.
A team could score a possible 118 under the showcase rubric. Those with at least a 100 are invited to compete March 22 in the STLP State Championship at Rupp Arena.
