FCPS earns statewide acclaim in OASIS contest

Fayette County Public Schools received several awards from the Kentucky School Public Relations Association as part of the 2011 “Outstanding Achievement in School Information Services” competition. This year’s OASIS honorees, for work completed in 2010-2011, included:

 

Lisa Deffendall, district spokeswoman

  • First place: Miscellaneous Printed Materials, for “State of the Schools”

Locust Trace AgriScience Farm public relations planning team

  • Second place: Special Events, for the groundbreaking ceremony

Customer Service and Community Relations Department

  • Second Place: Special Events, for the 2011 Calendar Art Competition and Show, and for the 2011 Retirement Celebration

Nema Brewer-Candy, communications specialist

 

First place:

  • Brochures, for the HR Image brochure
  • External Publications (full color), for “The Collection”
  • Miscellaneous Printed Materials, for the Delivery to Diploma birth announcement

Second place:

  • Brochures, for the suicide prevention brochure
  • Miscellaneous Printed Materials, for Travel FCPS

Technology Department’s Web Team

  • First place: Electronic Newsletters, for “Stu’s News”; and Websites, for www.fcps.net
