Three music educators in Fayette County Public Schools have earned Teacher of the Year accolades in District 7 of the Kentucky Music Educators Association.

The elementary-level honoree is Lydia Wainright of Maxwell Spanish Immersion Magnet; the middle school recipient is April Kite, assistant band director at Beaumont; and the high school winner is Chuck Smith, band director at Lafayette.
