Siblings Lee and Axel Kiefer both won gold medals at the November North American Cup, a fencing tournament this past weekend in Austin, Texas.

Lee, a senior at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, is currently ranked No. 6 in the world in foil fencing and recently won bronze at the Senior World Championships. At age 17, she also competes in the junior division. Axel, a 16-year-old freshman at Dunbar, picked up his second NAC title of the season. He’s the second-ranked cadet fencer in the nation.

The junior division is for fencers under age 20, and the cadet level for athletes under 17. For more details, visit http://usfencing.org/.
