Fayette County Public Schools invites parents and community members to hear Dr. Ruth Stoeckel, a speech pathologist from the Mayo Clinic, who will present on “Childhood Apraxia of Speech: Differential Diagnosis and Practical Treatment Strategies.”

The school district has also invited professionals from the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University and local private agencies.

The session will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Aug. 28 in Norsworthy Auditorium at “It’s About Kids” Support Services, 701 E. Main St. The session is free, and lunch is on your own.
