Special Education Advisory Council invites applicants

The district’s Special Education Advisory Council is seeking applications from those who wish to help inform, advise and provide feedback and input to the Special Education Department in Fayette County Public Schools.
The council generally meets on the second Thursday of each month at the “It’s About Kids” Support Services main campus. The group consists of 12 to 15 members including a minimum of six parents whose children receive special education services in FCPS, one to three representatives from a variety of school levels, and the rest from among private service providers, higher education groups, community advocates, adults with disabilities, employees of FCPS and high school students.
