PTA’s ‘Reflections’ provides outlet for creativity

The National PTA promotes artistic expression through its annual Reflections program, which gives students an opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition.

The six competitive areas include musical composition, film production, dance choreography, literature, photography and visual arts (with such media as drawing, painting, print-making and collage).

This fall, students in 32 schools across Fayette County submitted more than 3,700 pieces for judging by their local PTA or PTSA. The 203 school winners advanced to district-level competition, and the awards ceremony was Dec. 5 at “It’s About Kids” Support Services.
