Silberman named Communicator of the Year

The Thoroughbred Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has named retiring Superintendent Stu Silberman its 2011 Communicator of the Year.
He was honored June 7 during the annual awards dinner for his exemplary work in advancing the mission and message of Fayette County Public Schools.
“Stu Silberman has set a high standard of excellence for his successors,” said Ryan Worthen, chapter president. “Effective leaders must be effective communicators, and Stu has proven over the years to have the qualities necessary to bring about positive change. We are grateful for Stu’s service to the community, and we’re thrilled to recognize him with this distinguished honor.”
Past winners include outgoing University of Kentucky President Lee Todd, Lexington Legends President Alan Stein, and most recently, Kentucky auditor of public accounts Crit Luallen.
