The high-kicking dance team from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School has won a third national title for its can-can routine.

The group, coached by Teresa Champe, competed March 26-27 at the U.S. Spirit Cheerleading & Dance Team Ultimate National Championships in Orlando. Members included team captain Heather Root, Scarlette Benton, Cheyenne Columbia, Erica Dodson, Abbie Gevedon, Stephanie Hadley, Kalyn Heasley, Eryn McNamara, Maddy Ripley, Lindsey Ruth, Natalie Schneider, Samantha Simone, Kristen Smith, Madison Stacy, Katlyn Strange and Lauren Turner.

U.S. Spirit winners receive a trophy, a national champion banner, individual medals and embroidered jackets.
