Mini grants reward innovative classroom initiatives

Sixteen teachers in 13 schools have received nearly $14,300 from the Blue Grass Community Foundation, which provides mini grants for educators who develop innovative, interesting classroom programs or projects.
The grant money enables teachers to buy special materials and resources that aren’t covered in school budgets. The community foundation is helping fund these initiatives in 2010-2011:
