Fayette County schools are hosting a Kindergarten Kickoff to welcome youngsters starting classes this fall.

During the open house, which will help prepare them for that first big day, the children can look around their new schools and share what they already know about numbers, letters, shapes and colors.

Families should have received a scheduled time to visit their child’s school either July 30 or Aug. 2.  If not, please call the school for an appointment. 

About 3,200 kindergartners are expected to enroll this year. Fayette County families can register their children through Aug. 11, the first day of school.
